Airport

 

Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Thurgood Marshall Airport is located an easy drive of about 10 miles or 16kms South of Baltimore and 30 miles or 48km northeast of Washington, D.C.

 

Sites and attractions

 

The Inner Harbor is the primary place for tourists to visit. The revived Inner Harbor was once an industrial district full of dilapidated warehouses but not boasts a commercial district full of retail outlets, restaurants and hip bars. At the Inner Harbor it's easy to get in on the action, spirit, and fun of everything Baltimore has to offer! The National Aquarium here also gives an eye popping underworld experience that visitors will adore.

 

Sports fans should catch a game of football and support the Baltimore Ravens with the locals. Alternatively, tourists may wish to stop at Camden Yards and watch the Baltimore Orioles play ball. Annually, Baltimore hosts the Preakness Stakes. Following the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes is run the third Saturday in May at Baltimore's Pimlico race course with a weeklong celebration leading up to the running.

 

Whilst in town, rent a car and visit Art, Cultural and Historic Museums, the Maryland Science Center, or The Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History!
